Event Schedule: Prayers: 3:30 pm Social Hours and Appetizers: 4:00 pm Guests to be Seated: 5:15 pm Performance Begins: 5:30 pm Vikas will present five dance items, each introduced with a brief explanation. Please note, there will be no intermission during the performance. Following the event, there will be a time for felicitations and family photos, and we’ll conclude with a boxed dinner. No presents, please! Thanks to Dance Teacher Smt. Divya Bharath for working on the Make Up look of Vikas for the Pre-Event Photoshoot. Earlier, Vikas began her Bharathanatyam classes from a teacher in India over Zoom.
Thanks to Sarranyaa Saiprashanth, Vikas was able to learn Adavus, Alarippu and Kauthuvam. Sarranyaa worked with Vikas very patiently, inculcating an interest for classical dance and helped her gain confidence that she can do her debut Bharathanatyam performance some day soon! Sarranyaa Saiprashanth is a famous classical dancer cum teacher from Chennai. Sarranyaa’s Nrithya Vidyalaya is her dance school, which trains children in Bharatanatyam. Sarranyaa Saiprashanth got her classical dance training from Kalaimamani Ranganayaki Jayaraman. A lot of her students have done with Arangetram, and Sarranyaa Sai Prashanth will be on the stage with Nattuvangam. Besides being a classical dancer, Sarranyaa also hosted a few shows on TV channels. Sarranya hosted some episodes of Then Kinnam, an old song collection on Jaya TV. She also hosted Jothida Darbar, an astrology show on Vijay TV. Vikas Varnika performed for Anandha Thandavam at the ICS Independance Day Celebrations. Vikas Varnika performed Pushpanjali in 2016. |
